Best Large Display at BOS Mini Show, March 25th, 2018
The Barbados Orchid Society's Mini Show Simply Orchids held at the BHS Headquarters at Balls Plantation on March 25, 2018, provided new members with a wonderful opportunity to get ready for the society's major show which will be held in March 2019. This show which will celebrate the BOS 80th Anniversary is expected to attract regional and international participants.
The Mini Show, held in the year before the BOS’s major biennial show, allows exhibitors to gain information on plant preparation and to learn to display their plants and cut flowers to best advantage.
The 2018 Mini Show featured almost 70 displays and included lectures by renowned Trinidadian judge Mr Gopaul Chackan who also judged the displays.
The BOS is especially grateful to members who worked to make the show a success and to Nature Care, Glassesco, H&B Hardware and Blades and Williams whose sponsorship contributed to a wonderful event.
